Future Producers

Future Producer members are startup companies engaged in the exploration and development of mineral extraction and processing, mostly for critical minerals and rare earth elements used in clean-energy technologies. These members are not yet producing minerals and generating revenues.

To give these fledgling industries a voice in the federal legislative and regulatory arena, EMA offers Future Producers the same access and benefits as Producer Members (except eligibility to serve on our Board of Directors) for nominal annual dues of US$1,000.

Apollo Silver

Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada

Apollo Silver is developing two significant exploration and resource development projects. Located in the historic Calico Silver Mining District in the Mojave Desert, the Calico Project comprises the adjacent Waterloo and Langtry properties in San Bernardino County, California. This site hosts silver, gold and barite deposits. The Arizona Silver District Project, in La Paz County, is in a historic silver mining district in southwestern Arizona. This project represents a district-scale mineral system endowment with more than 2,000 acres hosting elongate veins of pod-like deposits of silver, lead, zinc, fluorspar and barite.

ioneer USA Corporation

Reno, Nevada

ioneer USA Corporation, a subsidiary of Australian miner ioneer, is developing the Rhyolite Ridge Lithium-Boron Project in Esmeralda County, Nevada. ioneer anticipates a minimum 26-year mine life, once permitted, with significant potential to extend. The company has signed offtake agreements with Ford Motor Company and South Korean battery cathode producer EcoPro; a Toyota/Panasonic joint venture called Prime Planet Energy Solutions; and an MoU to supply Nevada’s NexTech Batteries.

Michigan Potash and Salt Company

Evart, Michigan

Michigan Potash and Salt Company controls more than 150 million tons of recoverable K2O product, leading America into a new era of potash production. They also produce salt for food grade use, water softening, and winter de-icing.

Perpetua Resources

Boise, Idaho

Perpetua is developing the Stibnite Gold Project, the largest known antimony resource in the U.S., and one of the top 10 gold deposits. The sulfide mineral stibnite yields the much-needed element antimony. Designated by the USGS as a critical mineral, antimony is vital to the production of green energy products such as lithium-ion batteries, high-quality glass, and semiconductors. The U.S. Government prizes antimony for a range of military applications, from night vision goggles to laser sights.

Piedmont Lithium

Belmont, North Carolina

Piedmont Lithium is developing a hardrock lithium project in the Carolina Tin Spodumene Belt of North Carolina. Its planned lithium hydroxide production facility in Etowah, Tennessee, aims to produce 30,000 MT of lithium hydroxide per year. Piedmont also is in a joint venture with Sayona Mining in Quebec, Canada, and has an agreement to supply Tesla with spodumene concentrate from that facility. Piedmont’s offtake agreement with Atlantic Lithium will bring spodumene concentrate from the African nation of Ghana to Tennessee for conversion to lithium hydroxide.

Rare Element Resources

Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada

Rare Element Resources and its technology partner, General Atomics, in cooperation with the Department of Energy, are advancing an innovative rare earth recovery technology and developing the Bear Lodge Project, located in NE Wyoming.  This Project has the ability to become the cornerstone of a domestic rare earth supply chain, providing a secure and consistent, high-quality source of the rare earth minerals essential for advanced and green technologies.
